Quickstart

This guide walks you through the minimum setup to start transferring files with ZenTransfer.

Step 1: Create an account¶

1. Go to Pricing and sign up for a plan that fits your workflow.
2. Confirm your email address when prompted.
3. Log in to your Dashboard.

Step 2: Add a destination¶

Every file that arrives in ZenTransfer is forwarded to your active destinations.

1. Open your dashboard.
2. Under Cloud Drives, connect at least one target (for example Google Drive, Dropbox, or Adobe Lightroom).
3. Enable "Auto-transfer on new uploads" so that files are automatically relayed to this destination.

Step 3: Get your upload credentials¶

ZenTransfer accepts files over FTP, FTPS, SFTP, and HTTP. Your dashboard shows:

• Hostname (for example ftp.zentransfer.io)
• Username
• Password

These credentials are upload-only. They cannot access your settings or previously delivered files. For FTP, make sure you enable Passive mode.

Step 4: Send a test file¶

Choose any upload method:

• Browser upload — open the Upload section in your Dashboard and drag a file from your computer (or select one from the camera roll on your phone).
• Camera FTP — configure your camera using the credentials above and send a test file from your camera.

Step 5: Verify delivery¶

1. Open Monitor to watch the file arrive in real time.
2. Open History to confirm delivery to each destination succeeded.
3. Open Transfers to see details and status of each file transfer (useful if you enable multiple destinations).
4. Check your destination (Drive folder, FTP inbox, etc.) for the delivered file.
