ZenTransfer is a camera-to-cloud relay platform for photographers. You upload once — from a camera in the field, Photo Mechanic, an FTP Client, a browser, or a phone — and ZenTransfer forwards the file to every destination you've configured: cloud drives, FTP servers, email recipients, galleries, and automation endpoints.
The platform exists to eliminate the laptop between shutter and delivery. Files move while you keep shooting.
What ZenTransfer does¶
- Receives uploads over FTP, FTPS, SFTP, or HTTP on a global network of servers.
- Processes files with metadata templates, rename rules, resizing, and optional watermarking.
- Delivers in parallel to every enabled destination — typically within seconds of upload.
- Retries transfers if a server is temporarily unavailable.
- Logs every transfer so you can verify that each recipient received their files.
- Provides share links so you can make files and galleries available to clients.
- ZenTransfer Browser is a realtime, multi-user interface for culling, metadata and interactive transfers.
Who it's for¶
ZenTransfer is designed for professional photographers to support their workflow. That includes:
- Press photographers filing to wire services and newsrooms on a deadline
- Sports photographers working with an on-site or remote editor for speedy delivery
- Event and wedding photographers delivering galleries to clients, potentially live at the event
- Commercial photographers dropping files into a client's shared cloud folder
Editors and clients receive files through ZenTransfer — but don't typically have accounts of their own.
The product ecosystem¶
ZenTransfer has three pieces:
| Product | Role |
|---|---|
| ZenTransfer.io | Cloud relay platform, FTP edge network, processing pipeline, destinations, dashboard |
| ZenTransfer Desktop | MacOS and Windows app for memory card ingest, folder upload, and auto-download |
| Mobile apps | iOS and Android — upload from photo library or USB card readers |
You sign up on ZenTransfer.io, and the apps are optional companions.
