ZenTransfer's cloud platform works in any browser, but the companion apps unlock card ingest, auto-download on an editor's laptop, and quick uploads from your phone library. All apps are included with your ZenTransfer subscription. The ZenTransfer Desktop app is free and open source, and useful also without a ZenTransfer subscription.
Desktop app¶
Free, open-source companion for macOS and Windows.
- Ingest — SD/CF card ingest, file sorting, backup, cloud upload
- Upload — Upload files and folders to ZenTransfer or other cloud services
- Download mode — auto-download every incoming file to a local folder (editor workflow)

Which apps do I need?¶
You don't need any apps to use ZenTransfer — the cloud platform works through a browser and accepts camera FTP directly. The apps are optional companions:

Updates¶
Desktop installers auto-update on launch. Mobile apps update through the App Store and Google Play according to your device settings. The platform itself is updated continuously — there's nothing to install for cloud features.
